Gen. 1 Chapter 2: You're The One For Me

As the day crawled on and the sun began to set, Henry and Chad decided to switch locations and headed over to the remotely located Flying-V Coffee House. After the two bought their drinks and talked for a few minutes, Henry noticed Chad check his phone and absent-mindedly stand up to leave. He muttered something about work in the morning, then quickly ran out of the door. Henry finished his cup before getting up.
He went outside and was immediately greeted with the sound of someone murdering Katy Perry's Teenage Dream (why he was singing that song is still a mystery). Henry didn't make it more than 4 steps before he had a terrible migraine. Who is enjoying this trash? he thought, perusing the crowd.
And that was when he saw her:
Her red hair was cut stylishly to her shoulders and it glistened in the stage lighting as if she were on fire. Her slim figure was accentuated perfectly by the floral romper she was sporting, and she had the behind of a Twerking Goddess. She swayed to the music like a palm tree on the tropical getaway of Henry's dreams. Aside for her apparent lack of musical taste, he knew that she was perfect.
Quickly, he fixed his hair, checked his breath, then went in for the kill.

"This guy's stage presence- am I right?" Henry said to her, trying to make his comment on the performer as neutral as possible.
"I know! He's amazing right!" she said, still moving. "I hear that he performs here like, once a week, too!"
Henry bit his tongue to hold in any sarcastic or offensive comments he had about the singer. He smiled at the girl instead. She smiled back. Slowly, she stopped moving to the music as her eyes stayed locked onto his. She giggled and looked away biting her lip. "I'm Henry." he said.
"Elena." They shook hands, and her skin was as soft as peach ripening in the summer. "I don't think I've ever seen you around in town before."
"Oh, I just moved here from Bridgeport!" Henry replied. "I'm still exploring the town."
Elena chuckled playfully and Henry fell deeply in love with her laugh that was as delicate as paper. "And what brings you to a coffee house in your workout clothing?"
"I was playing some soccer in the park with a new friend of mine." He smiled. "Maybe you know him? Chad Robinson?"
She laughed again, and Henry felt every drop of blood in his body rush to his stomach. "You mean my husband?"

Henry felt his entire world come crashing down around him. He knew somehow that this situation would be too good to be true. He meets a beautiful girl. They quickly fall in love. They settle down and have two- maybe three kids and live a quiet life in their country home for a while only to move back to the city when Henry was successful enough and Elena was ready. Play with their grandchildren every other afternoon or so until  they were sent off to some prestigious private school to earn a top-notch education. Of course that would never happen, though, because Elena just had to be married.
"Husband?" Henry said after a while. "You're married?"
Elena let out another bit of flirtatious laughter and held up her left hand. "Only to the best. Why? Are you surprised?" She looked at Henry playfully.
"Not at all." He took her hand suddenly and looked down at her ring. "A girl as beautiful as you should be taken."
She smiled seductively at Henry and took a step in closer. "Too bad for you, though." She laughed and walked over to a table, grabbing a napkin. She pulled out a pin and began writing something. She walked back over to Henry who was just waiting there, dumbfounded.

"I'm sure we could still be friends, though." She slipped the napkin into Henry's hand, smiled and then turned and walked away. Henry felt his body freeze. She had given him her number. She was married, but she still gave him her number. What kind of game was she playing?
Slowly, he turned his head to catch a final glimpse of Elena before she disappeared from view. He sighed, then looked back out at the ocean. He knew that things were about to get a lot more complicated for himself, but somehow he didn't seem to care.

Author's Note;; Oooohhhh, things are getting interesting!

Gen. 1 Chapter 1: Bros! Bros! Bros!

It wasn't long before Henry realized that it was time to get a job. So he started searching in the first place he could thing of: the Corporate Towers in the middle of town. Upon arrival, it wasn't before long that he was informed that they were fervently searching for a new intern to hire (and a paid intern at that!). Henry accepted the job gracefully and found himself back home playing on his smartphone before he knew it.
The hours drifted by on the white clouds that coasted the sky, and before long the sun was setting and Henry found himself bored out of his mind. Laying in the grass, he scoured his mind for something to do. As the hours pushed on, he knew he wouldn't have time to do anything in town. He just knew that he needed a change. Henry hoisted himself up to his feet and stumbled over to his makeshift bathroom's mirror.

He rubbed his cheeks, made so many silly faces, and stared deeply into his own eyes before an idea finally came to him. "I'll just cut my hair!" he exclaimed passionately to himself. Suddenly driven, he ripped his only pair of scissors off of the counter and began to cut away. Pieces of black fluff slammed into the ground as if they held the weight of Henry's former self. New hair was the first step in Henry's journey to salvation- salvation in proving his father wrong. Henry knew that he could survive on his own. He just needed to stop smoking on the couch, and stop growing out his lame hair. This new haircut signified everything that Henry stood for.
It took him all night, but by the time he was finished Henry knew that it was perfect. Realizing the time, he quickly changed into his work clothes, checked himself out in the mirror one last time, then hurried off to his first day of work.

Work at the Doo Peas Tower was mundane. With every coffee Henry filled a piece of his soul was left behind, and with every file Henry organized a piece of his spirit was abandoned in the folder. Henry's only solace was conversing with his co-workers- the one thing he did for a majority of his time there.
When Henry got off, he felt drained. He wasn't physically exhausted in that he needed sleep, but more emotionally exhausted in which he needed something to do. In his search, Henry found himself at Central Park and the Summer Festival.

Scoping the scene, the park seemed pretty empty. Apart from one muscle-head and another old woman, there was pretty much no one who looked unique, interesting, or memorable at all. Taking a chance, Henry decided to talk to the muscle-head. "Uh, what's up, man! I'm new in town and looking for some friends!" Henry bit his tongue. Smooth, Henry. Are you looking for a new friend or setting up a profile on Grindr?
"What's up dude!" The man aggressively latched himself onto Henry's hand and shook it like a wild dog. "What are you doing at this festival? Seems kind of bogus!"
Henry grinned at the man's word choice. Bogus? "I'm new in town- just scoping out the locals. I'm Henry."
"Chad!" He barked. "You tryna get down on some soccer?" Chad's eyes darted between the soccer field and his new friend. There was literally nothing going on in his head.
"Yeah, I think I have a change in clothes." Henry chuckled.

After Henry had a chance to change into his athletic clothing, the two made their way over to the soccer field. "Aren't you going to change?"
Chad giggled, almost as if he had forgotten that he needed to change his clothes. He suddenly began aggressively unbuttoning his shirt, tossing it off to the side like some kind of sex-animal. He then proceeded to tear his pants off, throwing them very accurately on top of his shirt. Readjusting himself in the most showy, inappropriate way possible, Chad began to bounce up and down energetically. Henry watched this entire ordeal with a look of astonishment on his face. "Okay, ready!" Chad yelped. There was literally nothing going on in his head.
Moving the ball around under his foot, Henry looked around the goal for a possible opening. He took a few steps back, then took his shot. Chad scoffed, then jumped slightly to his left. He deflected the shot, leaving it to roll sadly back to Henry.
"Nice shot, bro!" Chad cheered from the goal. Henry bit his lip. It should have gone in.
Quickly, Henry began fired a shot at Chad. He quickly deflected it. Henry immediately sent the ball back causing the two to repeat their rapid fire motion until finally, by some great miracle, Henry finally made it in. They both cheered. All was well. Henry scored a goal. The two ran together and embraced in the most intimate, reassuring, manly way they knew how:

a high five.

Author's Note;; Literally nothing happens in this chapter. Just skip it, honestly.

Gen. 1 Introduction: Brand New World

As the taxi cruised over another bump, Henry awoke with a jolt of surprise. He looked around in a panic, not realizing where he was or how he got there. The cab driver laughed.
"Good morning, sunshine!" His speech was shrouded in a thick accent of indistinguishable origin. "I thought you would never wake up!"  Henry laughed then looked out of the window. That's right, he was in Sunset Valley. "Where did you say you are coming from again?" Henry chucked at the man's speech.
"Bridgeport." he said. "I'm coming out here to live on my own for a little while."
That was the first time Henry actually admitted it to himself out loud. For weeks, he had been going on about living on his own- about how he would move out of his father's apartment and make something of himself. No more video games and pot for him- he yelled to his father- he was an adult who could provide for himself. Of course, his father scoffed at this. But Henry knew that he could do it. For whatever reason, he knew that he would be fine moving out to a new city with nothing but the change in his pocket. Hell, he might even meet a girl and decide to settle down in Sunset Valley! But no promises there.
Slowly, Henry could see houses rising from the ground as the cab dragged itself to the top of a hill. Driving by, Henry was in awe.

The house was marvelous. It reminded him of the summer home from his childhood. The rustic, peeling salmon panelling of the exterior grabbed Henry's heart and jumped head first into a pool of sharks, and the subtle hole in the ceiling of the front entrance left him with a lasting smile on his tender, little, rich face.

He could see himself diving, nude, into the backyard pool only to then climb out, still nude, to welcome his future attractive, blonde, female neighbors to the barbecue of a lifetime. The barbecue, of course, would be catered by the local diner. DJs would be hired, and baristas would be appointed to mix up Cosmos and Daiquiris for the party goers. Henry's imagination was going wild, and he could feel the drool slowly crawling its way down his chin.
It was only when the cab continued to pull forward that Henry was snapped out of his delusion and dumped into his own personal hell. There would be no nude barbecues. The would be no fit blondes. When Henry saw his new home, tears filled his eyes.

A single wall lined with a refrigerator, a kitchen counter, and stove stood before him in plain view. On the other side: a sleeping bag, a toilet, a shower, and a sink and mirror. Didn't exactly scream summer beach home. Henry sighed and dragged his feet over to the kitchen area. The fridge was full. The cabinets were full. Life was good. Even if he had no money, Henry could still eat his vegan meals and that was all that mattered.

Suddenly full of energy, Henry sprinted like an overzealous anime character to the edge of the cliff behind his property. He took in the salty summer air and smirked out to the sea. The world was his for the taking, and nothing was going to stop him in his quest to make it on his own, prove his father wrong, and still have time to be the world's greatest Pokemon master.

Introducing: Henry Gatewood, Founder.

The Basis of This Legacy

This is going to be a pretty short post....

In short, this is a legacy to mock my former legacies and ideas for stories (most notably: The Astro Family Legacy). Now, this legacy is intended to be pretty, for lack of a better word, shitty so do not expect much in the terms of story or anything else.

I will be following most of the normal legacy rules, however. The short of these rules are:
No cheating. Plain and simple, no money or mood cheats. You may use custom objects, as long as their price and mood effects are in line with similar ‘official’ objects. Objects purchased from the Sim Store are considered 'official' as well as the ones included with the game.
Aging and story progression must be on and lifespans set to the normal level.
You are allowed to play with any Mod that does not give you a signifigant advantage over a player without the mod. The only specific mod I know of at the moment, Awesome Mod, is allowed.
The Legacy family must be the “Active Household” during the entire challenge. You may never switch the active household to another family. If you want to take a break from Legacy play, it is recommended you play in another saved game slot.
No Ambrosia! Your sims may learn the recipe for Ambrosia, but may not cook or consume the dish. Nor may ambrosia be used to resurrect ghosts.
You may not ressurect dead sims via the Science lab.
 (More here)

Because I'm pretty lazy and want this to be fun for myself, though, I plan on breaking a few of the rules by making my own sims for the family and other little things that won't really have an effect. So.... yeah...

Enjoy, I guess!
